Action for Growth

When beginning to address our lives in regards to our authenticity, we often are presented with the choice of acting within a particular situation, or choose simply to avoid action altogether. Inaction is often just as powerful as action, but we must remain intentional within our inaction just as we are intentional within our action. Although there may be occasions where we are forced into action within our lives, it is largely our choice whether to take action or respond with avoidance when it comes to our lives. It is the subsequent consciousness of action or subsequent inaction that leads to the most intentional outcomes. One of the most difficult areas of this type of decision making is regarding the problematic areas of your life. It is often easy to take action within the things that we enjoy, but it is a far different task when approaching something that is intimidating to us, or brings us fear and disillusionment.

It is my opinion that when it comes to addressing the most problematic areas within our lives, they must be treated with action. These are often the inherent areas within our lives that are causing us stress, and require the most resolve in order to suss out the solution. We all have our demons that we must ultimately address in order to progress within our lives. Unpacking these demons may become the most difficult part of this process, as it ultimately forces us to unpack some of the darker parts of ourselves and our environments, and address them with action from a point of intention. That being said, these are also the areas that garner the greatest satisfaction when they are dealt with intentionally. Although action within the more positive areas within our lives may ultimately be more pleasurable, the long term rewards of dealing with our demons will purposefully drive more joyfulness and clarity within our lives. Action within our darkness garners long term results that not only benefit us, but also our families and inner circles.

It is my firm belief that our demons will eventually catch up with us, no matter which path we choose within our life. The darkest parts of our lives that we have buried will eventually unearth themselves and usurp the tidy little life youve built around yourself. They can be hidden and pushed down only for a period of time, and eventually will break even the tightest of seals. This is why I advocate for acting with intentional action within these difficult situations. When we address these inadequacies and anxieties in our lives in a proactive manner, we begin to grow exponentially and gain newfound clarity within our lives. There are many theories within psychology as to how this process should ultimately unfold, but for me, it's quite simple. Be conscious of your thoughts and actions. There is no hurry or need to address all the issues that reside beneath the surface for you, rather just experience and address them as part of the process of a life. Encounter your demons mindfully and with grace, and you will be rewarded with a clear mind and a pure heart.
